Sen. Ejercito to push construction of North and South rail project

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – Senator Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito said he is hopeful the construction of the mass railway transport system known as the North and South rail project will start by 2018.

The Senator, who was the guest of honor and speaker during the fourth day of “Bulacan Business Conference 2017” at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city , said the mass transport system and other infra programs in the country is being left behind by 20 years by other Asian countries.

He said that once operational, the new transport system will help solve the traffic congestion in Metro Manila, spread out development sp[ecially in the northern and southern provinces of Luzp0n, lower the cost of transportation and bring down the cost of living due to job opportunities and economic boom in the areas.

“Bulacan will be a part of the growth that it will generate in Metro Manila,” Ejercito said.

At the same time, Ejercito lauded the Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado for his efficient and effective efforts in spurring growth and development in the province.

“I would like to give credit and full recognition to the Provincial Government of Bulacan especially to Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado for really pushing the industries in Bulacan dahil ito ang tunay na pagkakaroon ng tunay na katahimikan, trabaho at hanapbuhay, kaya congratulations and let us give him a hand,” the senator said.

The senator also shared his ideas on the situations being faced by the country at present like the transportation crisis wherein he requested for support for the realization of the efficient and modern railway system, which according to him is the backbone of the economy.

During the forum, Alvarado said it needs stringent planning as well asgood architects, engineers and laborers in order to finish the project the soonest possible time thus attaining progress quickly.

Investors are coming to the North and according to the governor, it needs good planners .

“Patuloy po ang mga konstruksyon sa ating lalawigan na tinaguriang ‘Gateway to the North’. Nariyan ang North Luzon Expressway, MRT 7 at railways. Marami ding padating na negosyo at kailangan ang ating paghahanda at pagpaplano nang sa gayon, ang ating pangarap ay hindi manatiling pangarap kundi isang reyalidad,” the governor said.

Also, Engr. Ramiro Cruz and Engr. Alejandro Baltazar from the Bulacan Engineering Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways discussed about ‘The Road Networking Progress’ in the said conference with the theme “Construction Day”.

The conference initiated by the Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Provincial Government of Bulacan in cooperation with the Department of Trade and Industry will run until September 12, 2017. –EMIL G. GAMOS
