San Fernando Electric Light and Power Company (SFELAPCO) has presented salient features of its new Power Supply Agreement (PSA) with the Masinloc Power Plant (Coal) and Aboitiz Power (Solar) that would reportedly assures adequate supply of electricity and stable price during the summer season.
This, as City of San Fernando Mayor Vilma Caluag urged SFELAPCO to be more transparent with its customers due to alleged unjustified electricity billing and lack of response to customers’ complaints.
SFELAPCO has committed to look into the issues raised by Mayor Caluag.
The SFELAPCO management met with Mayor Caluag and the business leaders the during the presentation of the new PSA on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Heroes Hall, in the City of San Fernando.
SFELAPCO Senior Manager Jesus Patricio Lazatin, Vice President for Strategic Planning Rocky Bayas, and Corporate Communications Officer Irwin Nucum, have facilitated the presentation and answered questions from the CSF LGU officials, and the officials of Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (PAMCHAM).
Despite the expected rise in power usage in the City of San Fernando and throughout the country during the summer season, SFELAPCO said it has been working to have a more stable price through its dealings with Masinloc Power Plant (Coal) and Aboitiz Power (Solar).
The SFELAPCO has vowed to inform the city government and consumers of any changes or issues regarding the electricity supply and called on consumers to practice responsible energy conservation measures, especially in these months of April, May, and June amidst the El Niño phenomenon.
Meanwhile, the stakeholders have underscored the capability and efforts of SFELAPCO to assure quick actions and efforts to keep power interruptions and issues at a minimum for Fernandinos.

Paul Yusi, Executive Director Joyce del Rosario, Alay Lakad Foundation, Inc. President and CSFP Local Project Monitoring Committee Chairperson Engr. Ruben Sy, CSFP Local Project Monitoring Committee Member and United Architects of the Philippines’ Ar. Aldrin Gatus, San Fernando City Legal Officer Atty. Jose Elmer Teodoro, and personnel of the Office of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
