Sinulog Festival
The major festival is held every year on the third Sunday of January in Cebu City to honor the Santo Niño, or the child Jesus, who used to be the patron saint of the whole province of Cebu. It is primarily a dance ritual which remembers the Filipino people’s pagan past and their recognition of Christianity.
‘Sinulog’ comes from the Cebuano adverb sulog which is “like water current movement,” which capably shows the forward-backward movement of the Sinulog dance. Sinulog is more than just about the colorful parades and wild street parties, it’s also about the Santo Niño and also about the good food you need to eat to keep up with the crazy weekend.
Cebu Specialties at Toscana Dining

Along the side is the Sinugba Counter which includes Tuna belly, Tanigue, Tahong, Pusit, Hipon, Boneless Bangus, Chicken BBQ, Pork BBQ. Cebu’s Kilawin (local ceviche) is also available plus some street food on skewers.
