As SM Supermalls launched Malling is More Fun in the Philippines thru a regional food fair, SM City Pampanga made its share as they showcased a culinary demonstration of known Kapampangan Chef and Food Historian of Atching Lilian Borromeo’s San Nicolas cookies.
During the launching, Atching Lilian demonstrated how to make Panecillos San Nicolas, a buttery bread-like cookie. She showcased in her demonstration how the religious cookies were baked using the image of St. Nicholas de Tolentino, the patron saint of children.
According to her, the mold used by bakers in the province depends where the cookies are baked.
After the baking demonstration, a feast or salo-salo was hosted by participating restaurants at the longest mall in the province, the SM City Pampanga.
This year, SM Supermalls, in partnership with the Department of Tourism, makes malling even more fun with the launch of Malling is More Fun in the Philippines campaign which started last May 17 at SM Mega Fashion Hall – with a series of activities and events full of fun, food, and festivity.
“Malls have become the modern day plaza and safe community spaces for families and friends to share moments together through shopping, dining, and fun experiences.
