SM City Pampanga and SM City Clark bagged 2 Silver Stevies in the prestigious 2019 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards for its Biggest Lantern of Hope 4 and Castaway Music Festival 5 campaigns under the Innovation in Live Entertainment at the recently concluded awards night, held at the InterContinental Hotel in Singapore. SM City Clark received 1 Bronze award for its Pyrofest 7 campaign also under the Innovation in Live Entertainment.
These wins were 3 of the 45 Stevie Awards bagged by SM Supermalls that garnered also the company with the most coveted Grand Stevie for ‘Most Honored Organization.’

As gratitude to the Christmas Capital for almost 2 decades of patronage of the SM brand, SM City Pampanga has been mounting a homage to the famous lanterns of San Fernando since 2015. The Biggest Lantern of Hope is an annual show of breathtaking lights and pyromusical display. The internationally acclaimed mall event is a Christmas attraction that has given joy to Kapampangans. On December 1, 2018, the Pampanga Eye was lighted to become the Biggest Lantern of Hope, a grand illumination show of aerial pyro-barrages and lights display, celebrating Filipino music and Kapampangan culture, to the amazement of 35,000 people.
SM North Luzon, in an effort to propel the appreciation and industry growth of OPM, annually mounts the biggest music festival crawl in the country – the Castaway Music Festival. Castaway gathers the finest musical artists and acts in the country in an absolute celebration of original Filipino music. SM City Pampanga and SM City Clark hosted the 2 legs of the event with more than 50,000 festival-goers just in time for the summer season.
Pyrofest 7 was themed Celebrate Nights of Wonder, bringing different evening skylines of various local and international cities right in Clark. Each evening in Pyrofest consisted of fireworks displays paired with music inspired by parts of the world that are home to the 7 wonders namely the Latin American continent, the Mediterranean, the oriental-imperial parts of Asia, and the Middle East. Pyrotechnic exhibitionists who participated in Pyrofest displayed breathtaking fireworks each evening entertaining more than 28,000 spectators.
SM won 2 Gold Awards for the Entertainment Apps and Corporate Websites categories, namely the #AweSM Logo Hunt Mobile App and the SM Supermalls Corporate Website. SM also nabbed 24 Silver Awards and 19 Bronze Awards. Various SM malls – from Quezon City to Baguio to Cagayan de Oro – clinched awards for their innovative and entertainment events.
