SM Prime, CSF inaugurate new Giant Lantern, Tourist Information Center

SM Prime Holdings Inc. and the City government of San Fernando recently inaugurated the new Giant Lantern and Tourist Information Center showcasing centuries-old tradition of giant lantern making. The center which sits on a 5,000 sqm meter property will house an exhibit space, a museum, pasalubong shop, library and archives center, an office for the city’s tourism department, a conference room plus an amphitheater in front of the building which will soon be open to the public.

SM Development Corporation (SMDC) president Jose Mari Banzon thanked the city government for the partnership geared towards promoting tourism and preserving culture and heritage which is also one of SM’s advocacies.

Leading the inauguration rites were City Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago and SM Development Corporation President Jose Mari Banzon, the project’s developer (3rd from left), with SM Supermalls Senior Vice President for Operations Engr.
