Subic EnerZone Corporation gets Safety Seal Certification

Subic Bay Freeport – Subic EnerZone takes pride in being the first business establishment in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone to receive the Safety Seal Certification from DOLE Region 3.Subic EnerZone Corporation received its first Safety Seal Certification last July 9, 2021. 

This was issued by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 3 Office after conforming with the inspection/validation on the minimum public health standards and other requirements of the Safety Seal Certification Program pursuant to DOLE-DOH-DILG-DOT-DTI Joint Memorandum circular No. 21-01.

“Indeed, this is truly an affirmation that we take and value Safety & Health seriously in our workplace as also being mandated by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority,”  Subic EnerZone Corp. AVP and General Manager Warrel Kern Sario said.

The SEZ is a 100% Aboitiz-owned electric distribution utility, managing the power distribution system (PDS) of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. The company was incorporated in June 3, 2003 and started commercial operations in October 25, 2003. SEZ’s authority to operate the Freeport’s PDS was granted by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) pursuant to the terms of Republic Act No. 7227 (The Bases Conversion and Development Act of 1992).

As of December 2007, Subic EnerZone Corporation operates as a subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corporation.
