TARLAC CITY — Tarlac Quarantine Facility at Athletes’ Village of New Clark City (NCC) is now ready to accommodate probable cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) particularly healthcare workers.
“This will boost our fight against COVID-19 and will give our healthcare workers who will be infected, the comfort they need in their 14-day quarantine period,” Governor Susan Yap said.
In particular, Tarlac will use Building A of the Athletes’ Village which can house about 260 probable cases.
“We have a medical team composed of a doctor, nurse, and nursing attendant in charge of regularly monitoring the patients,” Yap added.
The use of NCC Athletes’ Village as exclusive quarantine facility for probable cases in the provinces of Tarlac and Pampanga was realized following a series of meetings between local officials and Bases Conversion and Development Authority.
Aside from this, the NCC National Government Administrative Center has been transformed into a We Heal As One Center that will cater to confirmed COVID-19 cases with mild or no symptoms. It has 688 beds but can expand up to 1,000.
