Tarlac students get scholarships

TARLAC CITY — A party-list group in coordination with the Commission
on Higher Education [CHED] recently distributed scholarship grants to
1,100 deserving Tarlaqueño students in a ceremony held at the Tarlac
capitol’s Bulwagan ng mga Gobernador.

The Kabayan [Kabalikat ng Mamamayan] represented by  Ron Salo and
Tarlac Gov. Governor Susan Yap led of the distribution of cheques.

Joining them were Paombong, Bulacan Vice Mayor Maria Cristina Gonzales, Victoria Mayor Christian Tell Yap, Board Members Antonio Cervantes and Saturnino Mandal..

Salo said that the Kabayan Party List’ mission is to bring to the grassroots level the services of the government.

“Ang aming partylist ay sinisuguradong ang kaban ng yaman ng pamahalaan ay umaabot sa lahat ng nangangailangan,” Salo said.

Gov. Yap thanked Salo and the Kabayan Party-List ,saying that the province is truly blessed.

“Maraming blessings and bumababa dito sa ating lalawigan. Ngayon po ay special day lalong lalo na po sa inyong mga recipients from the good heart and big generosity ng ating guest of honor na si Cong. Ron Salon na hindi na bago sa serbisyo publiko,” the governor said as she likewise thanked the Sangguniang Panlalawigan headed by Vice Governor Carlito ”Casada” David for their all-out support to her programs.

Salo was a former Undersecretary during the administration of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and a former professor at De La Salle University.

Meanwhile, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Tarlac passed Resolution 022-2020 on January 23 commending the Kabayan Party List.

The resolution is in recognition to the valuable contributions of the Kabayan Party List to the socio-economic progress of the province and
their continuous support to the projects and programs of the
provincial government of Tarlac for the welfare of every Tarlaqueño.
