Tighter security this year for Tigtigan, Terakan King Dalan

This year’s Fiestang Kuliat committee announced that there will be heightened security during the much-awaited Tigtigan Terakan King Dalan (TTKD), given the current state of the country in the fight against criminalities and illegal drugs.

In a press conference, Clark International Airport Corporation officer-in-charge Alex Cauguiran said the TTKD committee has requested PDEA agents to man the entrance and exit points of the venue, which is set on October 21 to 22.

Cauguiran added they also requested the Armed Forces of the Philippines to augment security forces particularly their bomb sniffing dogs to prevent any bombing incident.

He said a total of 1,200 force multipliers will help secure the area including the Philippine National Police, AFP, Kabalikat Civic Communications Group, other non-government organizations in the city and other fraternity members.

An estimated 60,000-70,000 people are expected to attend the TTKD, the biggest and the grandest celebration in the city.

Dubbed as “Kabiasnang Tibuan: Kayaduangan king Panyulung” Fiestang Kuliat will bring together various religious, cultural and social activities that will surely be enjoyed by everyone.
