Trader: Sustain growth and training of police

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Dr. Reghis M. Romero, a member of the Regional Advisory Council (RAC) of the Police Regional Office 3, said the private sector must help in sustaining the growth and training of the members of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Romero, a prominent businessman and philanthropist who was interviewed during the recent RAC meeting here, said the police “are hardworking people and all they need is a little support from everyone, especially the private sector.”

Romero said cops should be given discounts on public transportation because they move a lot.

Romero, who has been a member of the RAC for over four years, said they are aiming to be the top advisory council of the PNP by helping the police become “more competent.”

Other members of the RAC are Angeles City Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, Former Salapungan, Angeles City Barangay Captain Rey Malig, Dr. Rowena Mangubat, Businessman Ireneo “Bong” Alvaro,
Businessman Erwin Dizon and Rev. Msgr. Eugenio Mercado Jr.

Vega-Cabigting agreed with the sentiments of Romero, adding that “the first goal is to help the PNP.”

Mangubat said the health and wellness of the PNP “should be prioritized.” She has been giving free Yoga classes to PNP members in Central Luzon.
