Wendy’s opens new stores in Central Luzon

US-based fast food chain Wendy’s has recently opened new stores in SM Supermalls in Central Luzon.

Wendy’s at SM City Tarlac was opened on December 12 while another Wendy’s was opened in SM Baliwag (Bulacan) on November 23, 2018.

Aside from the newly-opened stores, Wendy’s has an existing branch at SM City Clark which opened in 2013.

Wendy’s Philippines management said they will continue to expand in 2019 “making sure that we carry our quality recipes to greener pastures.”

As part of their expansion, Wendy’s has also introduced new products including ‘Fambox Bundle,’ which can be served with fried chicken or bacon mushroom melt burgers; and ‘Maple Chicken Croissant,’ a flaky croissant bun with a crispy chicken fillet topped with sweet maple syrup.

Wendy’s was founded by Dave Thomas in 1969 and named after his daughter, Melinda Lou Thomas. The first Wendy’s restaurant was in Columbus, Ohio.

Dave developed an innovative method to prepare made-to-order hamburgers, allowing the staff to quickly serve high-quality food on a daily basis.

Quality meant everything to Dave, but it was not just about the food. His passion was seen in the way he lived his days, even coining the phrase “Quality is our Recipe” and making it a part of Wendy’s way of life.

To date, the number of Wendy’s restaurants worldwide grew to over 6,500.
