ANGELES CITY, Philippines – The influential Pineda family of Pampanga threw their full support behind the senatorial slate of Alyansa ng Bagong Pilipinas, as the administration coalition kicked off its campaign in Angeles City on Tuesday, April 23.
Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, and local leaders from Pampanga’s first district joined thousands of supporters at the Lapid Sports Arena in Barangay Pampang for the political rally.
Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. and Representative Jon Lazatin also welcomed the senatorial candidates, who were introduced to a crowd of around 10,000 voters from Angeles, Porac, Magalang, Arayat, and Mabalacat.
Among the senatorial bets who came in full force were Senators Abby Binay, Francis Tolentino, Bong Revilla, Pia Cayetano, Raffy Tulfo, Camille Villar, Tito “Toto” Sotto, Benhur Abalos, and local favorite Lito Lapid. Senators Manny Pacquiao and Ping Lacson were absent from the Angeles rally.
The event marked one of four campaign rallies organized by the Alyansa ng Bagong Pilipinas in Pampanga.
