Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) President and CEO Alexander Cauguiran (2nd from left) addresses members of the Airline Operators’ Council (AOC) and representatives of ground handling companies operating at the Clark International Airport (IATA:CRK) on Monday, January 15, following a pilferage incident involving six personnel of ground handler MIASCOR last week. Both the CIAC and MIASCOR filed separate criminal charges of theft against the suspects immediately after Cauguiran ordered their dismissal from work. The CIAC chief also stressed that procedures and policies for the handling of luggage should be revisited to prevent a recurrence of the incident.
