CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – Fifteen million worth of marijuana were seized in a buy-bust operation conducted by personnel of Meycauayan City Police Station in Brgy. Pantoc, Meycauayan City on Thursday.
Bulacan PNP provincial director Sr. Supt. Chito G. Bersaluna said the marijuana were seized from Ednilyn Bautista, alyas Ed, 32 years old and Abigail Manzano alyas Abby, 36, both from Brgy. Pantoc of the said city.
Based on the report, at about 7:30 pm on Thursday, the two suspects were arrested after selling a plastic sachet of suspected dried marijuana leaves to a poseur buyer.
Another two plastic sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves and fifty bricks of suspected dried marijuana leaves with estimated weight of 55 kilos and with approximate street value of fifteen million were seized during the operation.
It was learned that it is the biggest worth amount of confiscated illegal drugs the Bulacan PNP seized this year, Bersaluna said.
The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination while criminal complaints against the suspects are now being prepared for filing.
