An alleged illegal drug seller was killed while two others were arrested during a recent buy bust operation by the Mabalacat City police in Pampanga.
Elvis Catacutan, a resident of Barangay Madapdap, was killed during a police operation on September 16, reports said.
Police said Catacutan opened fire while trying to evade arrest that forced the policemen to retaliate. A .38 caliber revolver, sachets of suspected illegal drugs, and a P500 bill marked money was recovered from the suspect.
Meanwhile, two other suspected illegal drug sellers, Morris Mendoza and Erwin Catacutan from the same barangay, were arrested.
The buy bust operation was initially conducted to arrest an alias “Lanskie” who escaped arrest after being tipped off about the police operation.
“With regards sa police operations, susundin po natin ang proper na pag-conduct nito. ‘Yong mga drug personalities, humanda at talagang may paglalagyan sila,” Mabalacat City Police Officer in Charge Juritz Baldovi Rara said.
