Red Wednesday: Remembering the persecuted

The Our Lady of Grace Parish in Mabalacat City joined the Catholic faithful all over the country in remembering persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ.

According to Aid to the Church in Need Philippines, some 300,000 Christians are being killed annually because of their faith.

An infamous example is the Marawi Siege in 2017 wherein several churches were bombed and destroyed by the ISIS group.

The Red Wednesday campaign or the lighting of red color among churches and schools symbolizes the martyrdom of Christians worldwide.

This year’s Red Wednesday highlights is the Eucharistic Celebration presided by Rev. Fr. Earvin Ray Garcia.
