MANILA – Blackwater used a third-quarter storm to get past NLEX, 98-88, in a Philippine Basketball Association Saturday night action at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.
The Elite outscored the Road Warriors, 35-16, in the third period to break a 46-all halftime deadlock and pull away.
KG Canaleta and Don Trollano each tallied 18 points for Blackwater, which moved up to 2-1 in the standings.
Mike Ayonayon had his breakout game of 20 markers, six rebounds, and one steal go for naught as NLEX crashed to the bottom of the standings at 0-3.
