BALANGA CITY — About 237 residents of Samal town benefitted from the free chest x-ray of United States Agency for International Development’s TB Platforms Project.
In partnership with Department of Health and the Municipal Health Office, recipients include tricycle drivers, market vendors, senior citizens and barangay healthcare workers.
“TB Mass Screening is a very helpful program that will ensure that active TB case finding can be successfully done even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Samal MHO Head Cristina Santos Espino said.
“We are awaiting the result of the examination so that prompt intervention can be done,” she added.
