Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the concreting of a 926-meter local road in Castillejos, Zambales.
The infrastructure stretches from barangay San Jose to barangay San Pablo.
DPWH Zambales 2nd District Engineer Rosbe Dizon said the project will ensure safer and more convenient travel for small vehicles and bring positive changes in the lives of residents.
“Residents will now enjoy the benefits of this concrete road as it will improve the mobility of small vehicles and the transportation of goods and services in the area. It will also enhance connectivity and provide easier access between the two barangays,” Dizon added.
Marializa Bantilan, one of the residents of Brgy. San Pablo, shared about the previous condition of their road and expressed the benefits of the concreting project to her family and motorists.
“Mabato.
The P6.9-million project was implemented under the agency’s Basic Infrastructure Program with funds sourced from the 2022 General Appropriations Act. (CLJD-PIA 3)
