TARLAC CITY — A total of 23 members of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries from various municipalities participated in the Costing and Pricing Seminar of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Tarlac State University.
Under DTI’s Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), beneficiaries from San Clemente, Camiling, Sta. Ignacia, Paniqui, Moncada, and La Paz were trained on the proper analysis of the cost, and appropriate price of their products.
DTI Tarlac Development Specialist Rhina Villapaña explained that the seminar was a follow-up activity for beneficiaries who previously attended the Tinapay ti Uno Bun and Bread Making Contest.
“This will guide them on how to properly compute the cost of their products and determine the right selling price,” Villapaña said.
Furthermore, she stressed that it will assist coop-beneficiaries in increasing their profit and market competitiveness.
Among the topics discussed were the objectives of proper costing, process of costing and pricing, business management decision-making, and production expenses analysis.
DTI provides seminars to various sectors, including farmers, to encourage more Tarlaqueños to start their business journey, to generate employment, and to boost the local economy of the province. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
