The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a ₱28.95-million flood control structure in Barangay Butas na Bato, Dingalan, Aurora, aimed at protecting residents from water-related hazards. The project, funded under the 2024 national budget, spans 299.4 lineal meters.
Key features include concrete slope protection on a steel sheet pile foundation to stabilize the riverbank, grouted riprap for erosion control, and a box culvert for improved drainage. These measures are designed to enhance water flow management and mitigate flood risks.
DPWH officials said the new infrastructure aligns with the government’s efforts to strengthen disaster resilience in flood-prone communities, ensuring long-term safety and sustainability.
