Six films depicting the hard work and aspirations of Filipino farmers are set to be screened at SM Pampanga on August 24 to 30.
The films to be shown are “Free Range” by Dennis Marasigan, “Kakampi” by Victor Acedilla Jr. , “Paglipay” by Zig Dulay, “Pauwi Na” by Paolo Villaluna, “Pilapil” by Jose Johny Nadela and “Pitong Kabang Palay” by Maricel Cariaga.
These entries were the finalists in the recently concluded ToFarm Film Festival (TFFF) hosted by TV personalities Carla Abellana and Dingdong Dantes.
Dubbed as the first agriculture-themed award-giving body in the country, TFFF is aimed at uplifting the lives of the stewards of agriculture.
Aside from trophies given during the awarding ceremony, each entry received a seed production grant worth P1.5 million.
TFFF is a brainchild of Dr. Milagros O. How, vice president of Universal Harvester Inc. in coordination with award-winning filmmaker Maryo J. Delos Reyes, festival director.
