BM Dominguez leads turnover of dairy buffaloes in Abucay

ABUCAY, Bataan – Provincial Board Member Dexter “Teri Onor” Dominguez led the formal entrustment of the initial ten dairy buffaloes from the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) to a local farmers group cooperative in Barangay Gabon here, Friday morning.
BM Dominguez said the beneficiaries of the project is the Hacienda Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperative led by its chairman Danilo Peñalosa.
Bataan First District Congresswoman Geraldine B. Roman graced the occasion along with Eat Bukaga’s Miss Millennial Bataan, Patrice Anne Dabu.
The project is in coordination with the Provincial Government of Bataan led by Governor Abet Garcia thru the Provincial Agriculturist Office led by Imelda Inieto and the Provincial Veterinarian Office represented by its chief, Dr. Albert Venturina.
The first in Bataan, according to Dr. Venturina, the first batch was distributed to the members of the said group to produce dairy products until the total of 120 heads of the buffalo are given to other beneficiaries in other municipalities of the province within this year.
The project costs P6 million according to Dominguez. He added that aside from this, the province’s processing center of dairy products will also be built in this town.
Congresswoman Roman, during her brief speech, also proposed the full development of processed dairy products such as cheese, pastillas and other delicacies which she said have high demands from various restaurants in Metro Manila.
“Bokal Teri”, as she is fondly called by friends and supporters, also reported his various infrastructure projects and funds gathered from his friends from the Senate of the Philippines namely Senators Sonny Trillanes, Manny Pacquiao, Aquilino Pimentel Jr. and Grace Poe, among others.
