Bulacan State University (BulSU) will embark in webinar platform activities for students and stakeholders as it navigate into the new normal.

BulSU President Dr. Cecilia Navasero-Gascon  said the forthcoming Academic Year poses several challenges for the educational sector.
“The entire community, indeed, is assured of the steady and wise leadership of its entire University Administration,” she said.

According to Gascon, the Office of the Vice Chancellors of Student Affairs for both Main Campus and External Campuses held recently a knowledge sharing activity with the theme “Looking Forward to the New Normal: Challenges and Coping.”

It was the inaugural part the program billed as “BulSU Student Services Series” wherein the said program will resume with seven activities in the pipeline. The next activity will commence on August 5 and the six succeeding activities will be held every Wednesday afternoon thereafter with the concluding activity to be held on September 9, 2020.

Gascon said these webinars will be implemented with the students’ welfare and development in mind with valuable guidance from both Chancellors of Main Campus and External Campuses and the Executive Vice President of the University.

The targeted audience of these webinars are the current students, as well as the incoming freshmen students of the University where the activities will deal with the themes-  Stress Management for Students; The New Normal in Education; Tricks in E-Classroom; Google Classroom; GEARtues (On Values Education); Parents as Partners in Learning; and LGUs as Learning Partners of the University.

“This program is a product of close collaboration with the Office of Student Welfare Policy and Program Development (an office under the Vice President for Academic Affairs). It is intended to primarily assist and capacitate all the students of the University, especially with the challenges being posed by the current and still evolving situations brought about by Covid-19 pandemic,” Gascon said.

Various experts from different fields will act as resource persons to the said activities where implementors will utilize online platforms like Zoom Cloud, Facebook Live and YouTube for greater access among the students.

In order to make this program more comprehensive, the activities will be capped by a psycho-social-spiritual integration that will include graduating students of the University, she said.
