A patrol crew of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) discovered equipment and liquid chemical substances used in making shabu along the southbound portion of the expressway in Brgy. Sapang Balen, Mabalacat City on Aug. 18.
The personnel appeared before the Mabalacat City Police Office on the same day to report the discovery.
Upon receipt of the information, elements of the police station proceeded to the area where they found bottles of liquid chemicals and other laboratory equipment.
According to the SCTEX personnel, they were making a clearing operation along the said expressway when they found the chemicals.
A team from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office led by agent Mavic Catibay arrived at the scene and collected the chemicals and equipment.
The items were then taken to the city police station for inventory, and were properly turned over to the PDEA Regional Office 3 for proper disposition.
