CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, Pampanga — About 450 international and local key stakeholders attended this week the 2nd Philippine National Halal Conference held in Clark Freeport Zone.
The conference is in line with the strategic goal of Philippine Halal Export Development and Promotions Strategic Plan 2018-2022 in synergizing efforts of Halal stakeholders in contributing to the programs and strategies of the Philippine government for the Halal industry.
“Increased awareness on the principles and fundamentals of Halal can be a business strategy and to maximize the potential opportunities of the Halal market globally,” Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Export Marketing Bureau Director Senen M. Perlada said.
The expansion and provision of linkages with the local and international networks of Halal communities is also a salient point of the conference.
He added that DTI will cascade strategies for the Halal industry through its Negosyo Centers, Regional Offices and Halal Export Board member-agencies.
This year’s Halal Conference is anchored on the theme “Leveraging on Unified Opportunities for All-Inclusive Growth in the Philippine Halal Export Development and Promotion.”
