TARLAC CITY — Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Tarlac City is implementing online appointment for voter registration.
It resumed last September 1 and will continue up to September 2021.
In an interview, COMELEC Tarlac Acting City Election Officer Ruth Ellaine Dimarucut explained the system of registration under the new normal.
“Since we have limited space in our office and we’re following health protocols, those who desire to register must first book an appointment through our Facebook page ‘Comelec Tarlac City,” Dimarucut said.
After receiving the confirmation of booking, the person must prepare the needed documents for registration.
“For first time voters, valid identification card bearing the full name of the applicant, preferably government-issued and birth certificate are needed. Those who do not have valid ID may bring a neighbor for proof of residency,” she added.
Moreover, those who long to correct their names should bring their birth certificates.
Transfer registration requirements, on the other hand, include a valid ID bearing the transfer address or any proof of billing indicating the new address of the applicant.
