COVID-19 isolation tent built inside Bataan hospital compound

BALANGA CITY (PIA) — The provincial government built an isolation tent for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases inside the Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center compound.

Governor Albert Raymond Garcia said the tent is a portable medical facility, called as Blu-Med Medical Shelter, which was constructed to address the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak in the province.

“It is a state-of-the-art mobile field hospital which can be reconstructed and moved to other locations,” Garcia furthered.

The portable medical facility has a negative pressure capability and a 20-bed capacity for patients who will test positive to COVID-19.

“It will be a holding area or temporary station of incoming suspected COVID-19 patients before transferring them to their isolation rooms,” he added.

Garcia asked for public cooperation and understanding as they are taking up further measures to help and protect healthcare workers fighting the spread of COVID-19 in the province.

“Rest assured that the provincial government is continuously taking action to protect everyone, and we will overcome this crisis,” Garcia said.
