Mayor Edwin “Edsa” Santiago leads the awarding of certificate of appreciation to John Michael Marcelo, a senior IT student from City College of San Fernando, Ms. Avegail Ferrer, IT Department Head of the City College of San Fernando and Jessie Mark Baluyut, member of Heritage and Culture Affairs for developing the Heritage Passport into a mobile application. Joining him were City Administrator Engr. Fernando Limbitco and City College Coordinator Rachelle Yusi.
The app is for everyone to experience a digital visualization of the heritage destinations in the City of San Fernando. A first of its kind, the mobile application can be downloaded in google playstore for free. The City Tourism Office aims to heighten cultural awareness not only to the Fernandinos but to introduce our heritage sites to other tourists.
