DINALUPIHAN, Bataan — As Christmas time gets nearer every passing day, the major roads in this municipality now glow brighter at night.
Thanks to the 108 LED lights recently installed by the municipal government here in all barangay roads intersecting the JASA (Jose Abad Santos Avenue) road.
“As promised by our beloved Mayor Gila Garcia several months ago, the lights are now installed,” municipal administrator Rolly Rojas told Bataan journalists.
Rojas said the project costs ₱10 million. Closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras will also be installed in strategic areas to help the LGU monitor to help the LGU monitor everyday events.
He also added that Mayor Garcia also plans to put more LED lights at the municipal grounds for the residents who frequent the area to unwind.
Recent reports stated that other major cities in the country are now converting to use LED lights because of its much brighter features and use less energy thereby reducing electricity consumption from 30 to 40%.
