DTI awards livelihood kits to 7 micro enterprises in Camiling

TARLAC CITY — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) awarded livelihood kits to seven micro enterprises in Camiling, Tarlac.

This initiative is through the Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) program which provides qualified individuals with livelihood kits to restore or improve their businesses.

DTI Provincial Director Agnes Ramirez said barangay Anoling 3rd was chosen in consultation with the municipal government while the seven beneficiaries were evaluated in partnership with the Punong Barangay.

“We hope that you can improve and enrich your business potentials by maximizing the use of these kits,” Ramirez said. 

In response, Mayor Erlon Agustin acknowledged the continuous effort and support of DTI Tarlac in Camiling.

“We are very lucky that we are always chosen as beneficiaries to receive livelihood kits,” he said.

“This program is indeed timely amid the pandemic,” Agustin added.

Sherly Patricio, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her gratitude for this initiative.


“We are very lucky and thankful for the help DTI has provided us and we’ll make sure to improve and develop our businesses more with these kits,” she said.

The livelihood kits include homemade native delicacies processing package, baking materials, food processing items and other supplies intended for food processing and sari-sari store.


NSB allows a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing government services closer to the people.


Through the Barangay Development Councils, DTI capacitates barangay personnel in providing basic business advisory or information dissemination services in the locality.
