DTI Bulacan pushes for Green Economic Development

MALOLOS CITY — A total of 45 members from 19 Shared Service Facilities (SSF) cooperators attended a series of workshops on Promotion of Green Economic Development.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Provincial Director Zorina Aldana said the agency aims to enhance the competitiveness of SSFs through adopting climate-smart and environmental friendly strategies.

“It is important from our SSF cooperators and our micro, small and medium enterprises in general to adopt green practices in areas such as electricity, water management, waste water, building design, local procurement and transport management,” Aldana added.

Speakers came from Department of Energy, MERALCO and Sagip Kalikasan Dulot ay Pangkabuhayan Inc. Their discussions focused on solid waste management and energy efficiency conservation to motivate SSFs to shift their operation towards a low carbon, competitive and climate smart operation.
