Duterte to Congress: ‘Fastrack funds for AFP/PNP housing projects’

SAN MIGUEL, Bulacan — President Rodrigo R. Duterte asked Congress to pass a supplemental budget to fast track all housing projects intended for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP).

In his speech during the awarding of the first 500 units at Scout Ranger Ville, he disclosed that construction of housing units for the AFP and PNP nationwide is in full swing.

“Construction of Madayaw Residences in Davao City is now in progress while survey development is in progress in (Vista) Alegre in Bacolod City,” Duterte disclosed.

There are also similar housing projects for AFP and PNP personnel in Woods Towne in San Fernando City, La Union; Loakan Heights in Baguio City; Christine Villas in Barangay Upper Hinaplanon, Iligan City; Ciudad de Dahican in Mati City; Cabaluay Place in Zamboanga City; and Casa San Miguel in Concepcion, Tarlac.

This year, about 54,000 housing units are already completed and another 50,000 units set for completion by next year.
