Fernandino youth cited for talent

Several Fernandino youth were cited by the City of San Fernando for bringing various awards in the country.

Sangguniang Panlungsod resolutions were awarded to them by Mayor Edwin ‘EdSa’ Santiago, Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, and Sangguniang Panlunsod members.

These Fernandinos represented the country in different competitions. One of the champions is Joeghie Catacutan of Barangay Maimpis who bagged five medals during the World Championship of Performing Arts last July at Long Beach, California, USA.

He won four gold medals for group production, vocal solo-pop, vocal solo-gospel, and vocal solo-RNB/Soul categories, respectively, and a semi-finalist medal.

Meanwhile, students of Rhythm and Dance Center in Dolores brought home a number of medals during the 2019 Challenge Cup Dance Competition in Chai Wan last July.

The 7- to 19-year-old young girls of RDC earned bronze, silver, and gold medals in different categories such as jazz solo/ensemble and ballet solo/ensemble.
