ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. clarified the rumour that the Angeles City Government will increase taxes.
He explained this to the listeners of Lingkod Bayan, the Facebook live program of the City Information Office every Thursdays, 10am-11am.
“Let me remind you that the City Government has no intention to add any amount for the taxes. Mayaman na ang Angeles City,” he said.
The Mayor also recognized the constituents’ contribution to the economic growth of the City.
“Malaki man yan o malaking establishment, basta nagbabayad yan ng tama, hindi na kailangang magtaas,” he added.
According to him, owners and employees just have to do their obligation to abide by the laws of the City and the country.
“Just make sure that you are not doing any violations, that will compromise your business, workers and Angelenos,” he mentioned.
Moreover, he also stressed the importance of ocular inspections being conducted by Business Permit and Licensing Division (BPLD), City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), City Health Office (CHO) and CIO, which is now a regular activity of the Angeles City Government.#
