THE Department of Education (DepEd) in Central Luzon is prepared for the opening of classes on June 5 despite the lack of classrooms in public schools.
This was bared by Malcolm Garma, DepEd Region 3 head, to local media, Divisions Schools Information Officers and other DepEd Officials on Friday.
“Taun-taon naman ready talaga tayo eh, but of course we will need to complete the classroom shortage, talagang nandyan naman yan taun-taon. But what is important is that kung meron man tayong kakulangan is that nagagawa natin ng paraan pagdating ng opening of classes. We also encourage our parents na kasanayan maraming bata di pumapasok ng first day mas critical ang susunod na araw to experience the welcoming atmosphere of our schools,” he said.
He also emphasized that he already issued a “no collection policy” during enrollment which must be strictly observed by all public schools in the region. He also released a memorandum ordering all public schools in the region to post a signage of the policy on their respective gates for the information of the parents and students. –JPM
