The 8-year dry spell is over.

The Gin Kings won Game 6 to clinch the franchise’s 9th title after import Justin Brownlee saw “a clear look at the basket” and clinched the 3-pointer buzzer-beater.

“It was a miracle,” according to Brownlee.

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel has returned as champion of the 2016 PBA Governors’ Cup beating the Meralco Bolts, 91-88, in Game 6 on Wednesday, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Ginebra bagged the franchise’s 9th title, eight agonizing years after their 2008 Fiesta Conference championship.

Ginebra’s ‘knight and shining armor’ — Brownlee — finished with 31 points with 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
