MALOLOS CITY – Governor Daniel R. Fernando has declared that Bulacan is more open for business and an all-time investment-friendly province, as numerous model businessmen manage the industries.
The local chief executive reiterated this in a keynote address during the 2025 Most Outstanding Bulakenyo Businessmen (MOBB) Awarding Ceremony, which is an initiative of the Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the provincial government.
Established in 1991, the MOBB Awards recognize the innovation and excellence of Bulacan entrepreneurship and the businessmen behind its success.
Innovation and inclusiveness are among the criteria for the Most Promising Entrepreneurs award which was bestowed to Bauertek Farmaceutical Technologies Corporation and HTP Clothing Corporation.
Guiguinto-based Bauertek Farmaceutical Technologies Corporation was recognized for being the country’s premier manufacturer of food supplements.
This Department of Science and Technology-supported food supplement manufacturing firm exceeds the country’s standards and raises the bar for research, manufacturing, and development.
Moreover, HTP Clothing Corporation by Heidie Ricca Del Rosario was cited for transforming a digital startup into a socially responsible fashion brand.
Before online selling became a trend, Del Rosario was already making waves with her HTP Clothing which stands for “Half the Price”.
When the pandemic hit many entrepreneurs, she mobilized her customers online to raise P3 million to produce and donate personal protective equipment for the frontliners.
Meanwhile, four individuals became recipients of Most Outstanding Businessmen award namely Francis Bajet, Narciso Vinta, Toni Paulo Valenton, and Ernesto Vergel De Dios.
Bajet is the chief operating officer of the Pulilan-based Bajet-Castillo Group of Companies, a consumer trading business that was founded by his grandfather. From being a bakery, it has turned into a multi-industry.
Vinta, on the other hand, established the Plaridel-based NBVinta Construction Corporation which has grown from a small material supplier into a general construction company.
Valenton of Powerfill Group of Companies started as a small gasoline station in Barangay Caniogan, Malolos City in 2009. The business now operates nationwide.
And lastly, De Dios transformed what was once a home-based baking hobby into a well-known and the children’s “favorite baon”, the Lemon Square Cupcake.
Today, it has become a full-scale operation under Big E Corporation where over 3,000 people are employed. (CLJD,SFV, PIA Region 3-Bulacan)
