The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Pampanga 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) joined the Central Luzon Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC III) in inspecting the Angeles–Porac Bypass Road Project on June 26, 2025.
Various national and local government agencies participated in the site visit, which assessed the progress of the 8.8827-kilometer road project aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving connectivity between Porac and Angeles City.

“This multi-year project, which began in 2018, is expected to significantly reduce transport costs, improve mobility, and ease daily commutes for thousands of residents,” District Engineer Gregorio Audea, Jr. said.
He added that beyond improving access, the project also includes road slope protection works designed to prevent soil erosion, enhance road safety, and maintain the structural integrity of the surrounding terrain.

With better connectivity to key destinations, commercial hubs, and local attractions, the road is also projected to boost local business growth, attract investments, and stimulate tourism, trade, and employment in Porac, Angeles City, and nearby areas—contributing to the broader socio-economic development of Pampanga.

Representatives from the Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DEPDev) – Region III, Office of the President – Presidential Management Staff (OP-PMS), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Porac, Department of Budget and Management (DBM), and the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) were also present during the inspection.

Findings and recommendations will be submitted to the National Project Monitoring Committee (NPMC) for the third quarter of 2025, as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to track and ensure the timely implementation of key infrastructure projects nationwide.
