Guv, mayors unite for a progressive Pampanga

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A stronger partnership towards a progressive Pampanga has been sealed as Governor Lilia ‘Nanay Baby’ Pineda and all city and municipal mayors formed an alliance to create a collaborative development plan for the kabalens.

The alliance building was facilitated by the DILG Pampanga headed by director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, providing a venue for all local government units of the province to realign their development visions into a one major development thrust through a province-wide Local Development Council Participatory Project Prioritization (LDC PPP) Conference cum Provincial Alliance Building held on September 14.

Presented before the Governor and representatives of the congressmen by LGOO II Mark Jason Veran were the priority projects of all LGUs for possible provincial funding support, by which Governor Pineda assured that the projects, with the joint cooperation of the provincial government and congressmen, shall be prioritized on the allocation and outsourcing of financial subsidy.

“Pagtutulung-tulungan natin ang mga projects ninyo. I am also thankful to the DILG that these were presented before the provincial government and to the representatives of the congressmen, as we [provincial government and Cong. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo] were really looking for the list of projects needed by the LGUs for implementation and funding support. Thank you and congratulations to DILG for making this happen,” said Governor Pineda as she lauded the Department for the success of this momentous event.

Presented also by LGOO II Aldwin Reyes and Engineer Khalid Sunggod was the alignment and vertical linkage of local development investment plans to the provincial development and physical framework plan, and the status of all DILG-funded projects to all LGU recipients from 2016 to present, correspondingly.

A ceremonial turn-over of the list of projects for provincial funding support highlighted the activity led by Governor Pineda and Pampanga Mayors’ League President MylynPineda-Cayabyab.

Present in the event were all the members of all the local development councils of all 21 cities and municipalities in Pampanga.
