Hizon to push for best, equal services for CSF sectors

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —Councilor and vice mayoralty candidate Angie Hizon will stay true to her campaign advocacy of “Best Service” as she vowed to push for legislative measures to ensure best and equal service to the different sectors of this city.

Hizon said that sectors like senior citizens, small and medium entrepreneurs, transport groups and those in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender should be given active roles in governance process of the city.

The lady councilor, who is running for vice mayor, said that she will keep a close coordination with these sectors if she is elected as vice mayor.  She added that constant consultation with the different sectors of the city, even not during public hearings, is necessary to ferret out issues and concerns that need legislative action.
Hizon believes that local legislators should be more in tune and go down to the grassroots level of their constituents, as well as maintain regular coordination and talks with them to better represent their needs in the city council. Hizon added that she would continue her personal support to the various sectors of the city.

The lady councilor had earlier expressed her desire to help the gay community to be more recognized in the city through possible support programs and further boosting of existing once that are supported by the city.
