Jolibee, 7-11 store to open in Bagac

BAGAC, Bataan – Investments and famous brands continue to expand in the province, this time in this fast rising municipality.

Municipal administrator Nick Ancheta revealed on Monday that a branch of Jolibee fast food chain of restaurants and 7-11 convenience store will soon open this year here.

“I just signed the mayor’s permit of 7-11 convenience store while Don Eddie (former Consul Eduardo de Guzman) was here last week telling our kababayans about his branches of Jollibee and Chow King restaurants here,” Ancheta told i-Orbit News.com

Bagac is ruled by Mayor Louise Gabriel del Rosario the youngest mayor today and the second youngest elected in postwar Philippines.

Del Rosario replaced his father, three-termer Mayor Ramil del Rosario.

Bagac is the home of famous tourism destination in this province, the Las Casas Filipinas de Açúzar. — a heritage park built by José “Gerry” Acuzar, owner of the New San Jose Builders and history art collector. Inside this heritage park is a collection of Spanish Colonial buildings and stone houses (bahay na bato in Tagalog), planned to resemble a settlement reminiscent of the period. These houses were carefully transplanted from different parts of the Philippines and rehabilitated to their former splendor.

Ancheta added that Bagac now enjoys a good business climate following the improved peace and order situation.

“Our Poblacion area is now equipped with CCTV cameras and more crimes are being solved because of it,” Ancheta added.

During the peace and order council meeting at the 1Bataan Command Center in Orani town, Bataan governor Abet Garcia said the other major roads leading to Bagac will also be installed with CCTV cameras. –Mhike R. Cigaral
