Man yields P333K marijuana, gun in Pampanga

Camp Olivas — Police confiscated P333,000 worth of marijuana and a loaded gun from a man being served a warrant in San Fernando City, Pampanga.

Pampanga police director Col. Arnold Thomas Ibay said his men implemented a search warrant on Fernando Castro Sanchez Jr., 45, of No.357 A. Ruiz St., Bgy. Lourdes, City of San Fernando, issued by San Fernando City RTC Judge Esperanza Pagkalinawan-Rozario.

Police seized from him a homemade .38 pistol loaded with four bullets and 29 plastic sachets containing marijuana weighing 49.11 grams with an estimated street value of P333,000.

“Our aggressive drive to recover and to seize loose firearms through continuous police operations and implementation of search warrants against illegal gun owners are in line with the directives of PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar,” said PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon.
