NCMF cites EdPam for supporting Muslim-Filipino community

ANGELES CITY –  Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan has received an award of distinction and appreciation from the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) North Luzon Office for his untiring support to the Muslim-Filipino community.
Amroding Rasul, Administrative Officer of the Angeles City Muslim Affairs Desk, handed the Plaque of Appreciation to Pamintuan.
The award cites Pamintuan’s indefatigable effort and selfless concern in the preservation, promotion and enhancement of the Filipino-Muslim culture and tradition being the Keynote Speaker to the recently concluded Regional Qur’an Reading Competition held last February 17 at the Angeles City Legislative Hall.
Moreover, the citation also mentions the mayor’s invaluable contribution in the moral, social and socio-economic upliftment of the Muslims in Angeles City.
“The distinction given to us is a manifestation of our people’s trust in the way we govern our city. It is also, in a way, a gesture of acknowledging our efforts in maintaining unity among Filipinos regardless of political affiliation or religion,” Pamintuan said.
“The award resonates our call for love, respect and understanding for it is with these three values that we can truly achieve a lasting peace,” said Pamintuan.
