NE electric cooperative conducts consumers’ assembly

THE Nueva Ecija I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NEECO I) conducted recently its 27th Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA).

The assembly coincided with its 45th year anniversary at its main office at Barangay Malapit, San Isidro, Nueva Ecija.

The AGMA is an annual event of the power distribution firm wherein its officials deliver reports of accomplishments, updates and plans on
technical, financial and institutional aspects and audit activities to its member-consumers.

“Ang AGMA po ay isang pagtitipon naming mga electricity consumers na kung saan nalalaman po namin ang status ng aming kooperatiba at ang mga programa at proyekto nito para sa mga tao”, said a NEECO I member-consumer who hails from San Isidro town.

NEECO I General Manager Engr. Bonifacio Patiag stressed the importance of the AGMA as it provides information to its member-consumers on the status of the cooperative.

“This is an opportunity for us to report to our member-consumer-owners all matters pertaining to our humble achievements and accomplishments and for this to express our gratitude to them”, saod Patiag.

Gracing the assembly are: Administrator Edgardo Masongsong of the National Electrification Administration, Reynaldo Villanueva,
President of the Central Luzon Electric Cooperatives Association (CLECA), Juancho Chiong of the National Center of Electric Cooperatives Consumers (NCECCO), Floregene Sumintan of the One EC Network Foundation.

Also in attendance were NEECO I’s Multi-Sectoral Executive Council (MSEC) headed by its chairman Rev. Fr. Antonio Mangahas and Atty.
Alejandro Abesamis representing Nueva Ecija Provincial Governor Atty Aurelio Umali who was the primary guest of honor.

To complement the highlights of the assembly, raffle draws were held wherein twelve (12) tricycles, LED television sets, refrigerators,
washing machines and other appliances were given away to lucky consumers. A medical and dental mission for consumers was also
conducted in partnership with Aboitiz Power Renewables Inc. and the rural health units from the city of Gapan and municipalities of Cabiao, Jaen, San Antonio and San Isidro.
