The Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) assured residents of Tarlac City that safety measures will be continuously observed in view of the fire incident last night.
The fire incident, following an explosion, happened inside Camp Servilliano Aquino around 10:30 p.m. and lasted until 11:30 p.m.
“Initial inquiry revealed that the fire started in an old Enlisted Personnel Barracks of Army Support Command,” NOLCOM Commander Lieutenant General Romeo Tanalgo said in a statement.
Tanalgo noted that no residential establishments within the vicinity were affected.
Likewise, he said that there were no reported casualties during the incident.
Meanwhile, NOLCOM has coordinated with Philippine National Police Tarlac Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council and other authorities to form a Multi-Agency group to investigate the incident.
