ANGELES CITY – Three public schools here will be given additional building and classrooms, amounting to P57, 757,380.57, by First District Rep. Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II, in coordination with Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr.
This is in line with the CY 2019 Basic Educational Facilities Fund.
A total of P35,865,943.97 will be allotted to Amsic Integrated School for the construction of a 16-classroom 4-storey building; P10,978,957.01 for Apung Guidang Elementary School in Barangay Cutcut for a 4-classroom 2-storey building; and P10,912,479.59 in Leoncia Elementary School in Barangay Sto. Domingo for a 4-classroom 2-storey building.
The Lazatin brothers recently led the groundbreaking and time-capsule laying ceremony with Vice Mayor Vicky Vega, Department of Education (DepEd) Angeles City Schools Division Superintendent Leilanie Cunanan and Asst. School Division Superintendent Maria Celina Vega, Department of Public Works and Highways-Pampanga 3rd District Engineering Office head Engr. Tito Salvador and Assistant District Engr. Arnold Ocampo last Thursday morning.
Allan Traquina, Jayson Guzman, and Marilyn Dingal, principals of the mentioned schools, respectively, thanked Mayor Pogi and Cong. Jon for their efforts to push for educational projects in the City.
Just like their father, Mayor Lazatin said they will continue to prioritize programs intended for the benefit of their constituents, especially for the education of the young generation.
