CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Provincial Cooperative and Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCEDO) in cooperation with Provincial and Regional Cooperative Development Council hosted the annual Central Luzon Kooplympics here at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center (BZGCC) last October 19.
With the theme, “Cultural Presentation of Festivities”, 2nd District Board Member Anthony Joseph Torres was honored the event was held in the province.
“Tayo po ay nagagalak kasi malaki pong event ito para sa ating mga kooperatiba, hindi lamang po rito sa Pampanga but for the whole region,” he furthered.
Meanwhile, 3rd District Board Member Rosve Henson welcomed the participants.
Torres, also the chairperson for Committee on Cooperatives, proudly cited the Kapampangan products which the Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) showcased.
“Nabibigyan ng pagkakataon ang lahat sa pamamagitan ng mga ganitong selebrasyon para magpasiklaban at ipakita kung saan ka nagmula,” he said.
Torres also commended Senator Cynthia Villar, Senate Chair on Cooperative Development, in prioritizing programs for the benefit of the cooperatives.
Moreover, Luningning Vergara, PCEDO head, thanked the support of the provincial government, led by Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda in extending help for the need of cooperatives.
Also present in the celebration are Sangguniang Panlalawigan members and staff of PCEDO and Provincial and Regional Cooperative Development Council. –Leah Isidro De Fiesta
