CAMP TOLENTINO – The Bataan Police Provincial Office headed by Senior Supt. Marcelo Dayag on Monday led the formal launching of “Basura Mo Kinabukasan Ko,” project at this Camp.
Dayag was joined by his chiefs of police from 11 towns and one component city, provincial mobile force company, a DepEd official and the local press.
The project targets to collect recyclable wastes in all communities being served by the BPPO and sell it. The proceeds will then be used to procure school supplies to be donated to public schools.
“Itong project natin para sa mahihirap na estudyante lalo na sa mga IPs (indigenous people especially those in far-flung areas,” PD Dayag said in an interview with CLTV 36.
Ramon Perez, Department of Education Bataan (DepEd- Bataan) School Governance and Operations Division chief was delighted with the Bataan Police’s project.
“Tuwang tuwa po yung DepEd sa pryektong ito at makakapag angat ng buhay ng mahirap nating mga mag aaral iyan,” Perez told local newsmen.
Dayag added that the project also aims to encourage the involvement of the people in environmental conservation and also to increase the awareness of the personnel of Bataan PNP on environmental protection.
IHe added that it is also designed to reduce waste materials circulating in the community.
